Wanna make friends with me?

dare devil says: wanna be frens with me?

crazy raven says: will you make frienship with me?

road romeo says: hey your profile is interesting...can we connect?

Sometimes (thanks to a friend Abhijit Panicker, who's clicked some good profile pics for me "thats his photographik magik")i get such scraps on my dying orkut profile.

This got me thinking... - if im friends with myself first...?? ... i dont think so...

1) Friends spend time with each other - well i dont ( or atleast i dint till 5 months back). When not working (most of the times that is) im reading, watching TV, gossiping (on gtalk or phone) or listening to music and thinking how vast the universe is and how im just a tiny little spec in the universe. (good music transcends me into a different world)

2)Yes, we can be friends with ourselves because we still not have become one with our innerselves. My heart and mind almost always want to do exactly opposite/contradictory things :) While my heart would want to hop, skip and jump to the next door marwari chaat wala (called Gangor) and have a plate of 'thandi thandi colorful bundi wali' pani puri and pav bhaji, my mind would think of that Reminka evening gown that i want to be able to wear for a friend's bachelor's party in november, for which i will need to shed a THOUSAND kilos (: 1 kilo in my stubborn built equals to 100 kilos worth to be lost)

anyway, coming back to the point... we are not yet one with ourselves and hence two different entities and hence its important to be friends with oneself first.

I have come across this, in conversations, in books, on TV, zillions of times...that this generation (thats me) is not at peace with itself.

And true, as much as I would love to write more on this topic (after giving some thought to it and bringing the flesh out (as my x-boss used to say), i am.... as restless as ever... as impatient as always... and as lazy as a sloth... i leave it at this and get back to some gossiping on gchat :)

Thanks Prerna (my colleague from Baroda Times)...for truly being a prerna :) and nudging me to write this new post :)

10 Commandments to stay energetic

Tick Tock Tick Tock… and its 6 o’ clock. You get up and get going. What happens after a few hours? Does the going get tough? Do you feel tired and exhausted?
To fit it into your busy schedule, here are instant energy boosters to perk you up so that you get back to business!!

1. Peppery, Spirited, Happy isn’t that how you’d like to be described? – Restore your energy with Aroma Therapy with a lively blend of lemon, peppermint, rosemary and sweet orange. Inhale deeply for an instant pick-me-up or add a drop or two to your morning shower. Don’t you worry about skidding in the bathroom!

2. Move your body baby – Music and dance provide a holistic approach towards well being, integrating mental and physical aspects. Dance…even if you have nowhere but your living room. It will keep you charged up. Not as if you are in a bathroom queue, you silly! Learning will help!

3. Hydrate yourself - When you are not drinking enough of water, you will feel very tired; you will experience a nagging headache throughout the day. So drink lots of water.
You only need to make sure you have rest rooms around!

4. Would you go to bed with me? – For a good energy level, a good night sleep is must. No amounts of energy boosters can compensate for a good sleep. Come on you lazy bum, Rise and shine! You need to feel tired to try these tricks and feel energetic.

5. Eat healthy and think better - Midmorning slumps become a regular problem for those who skip breakfast. Have a good breakfast. Infact eat right throughout the day and see how you become more productive. Do not confuse eat right to eat rite throughout the day.

6. Use your fingers to gain energy – Alternative therapy type Mudra (Sanskrit word meaning sign or seal) is a gesture or position, usually of the hands, that locks and guides energy flow and reflexes to the brain. Warning: Consult an expert or you might take two stairs at a time.

7. Feel good - Wear fashionable clothes, high heels and feel good about yourselves. Bright and happy colors will also keep you active. But be kind to your ankles, you will miss them when they are gone.

8. Laughing is the best medicine – Read jokes, humorous quotes and stories. Laughter is a form of internal jogging. It enhances respiration. Jump up and down for joy. You will yourself notice the difference in your energy levels. Make sure nobody is watching you, or they might cut your ticket to loony town.

9. A man is known by the company he keeps – Surround yourself with upbeat and supportive people. They will lift you higher on the liveliness scale. Make sure you know how to come down.

10. ‘Pleasure-out’ – Workout the way you like it. Do one thing everyday that you enjoy. Remember the compliments you receive or read old love letters. Do it only when your spouse is not around.

Who says bollywood is not advanced?? --> They use transgenic & mutated species as their characters

The latest Ajay Devgan hit ‘Halla Bol’ triggered a chain of thoughts in my extremely convoluted brain. Two particular scenes caught my attention… a girl being raped in a party and ajay devgan being hit after his street performance…. Nobody notices… or probably its not stimulating enough to trigger a reaction among the audience there…. And in the same string you see the stunt fame ajay devgan running light speed, jumping houses, fighting a dozen bad guys alone and what not… would I be wrong if I call the characters transgenic??

Transgenic : one that carries a foreign gene that has been deliberately inserted into its genome… don’t you think the hindi movie characters are inserted with 1. Selective hearing & 2. Selective actioning …. Its deliberate yes it is… but why go so far…. I think all of us are conveniently ascribing to the rule of ‘Selective whatever’ …. Soon the future generations will be mutated to this sensibility. However, how will it impact the Indian telecommunication and sales & marketing field is still a question lingering in my mind!
